William Henry Beers III, 89, of Waikoloa died Oct. 10 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Annapolis, Md., he was an assistant golf pro, worked as a teller and loan processor for the former Bishop National Bank, was in property management for the Hawaii Trust Company, a driver and in management for Charles’ and Sida Taxi services and a salesman and manager for various new and used car dealerships and member of Waikoloa Men’s Golf Club, Oahu County Club and a club championship winner in 1953 and 1955. No services planned. Survived by companion, Dee Dee Kosa of Waikoloa; sons, William (Vera) Beers IV of Raleigh, N.C., Edward (Theresa) Beers of Olympia, Wash., and Richard Beers of Oregon; daughters, Lisa (Charles) Kirry of Olympia and Frances Kuulei Beers of Healdburg, Calif.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Wayne Edward Gray Sr., 77, of Kailua-Kona died July 19 at Kaiser Moanalua Medical Center. Born in Halstead, Kan., he was a retired law enforcement officer, member of the VFW Kailua-Kona and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
